PREVIEW
The third and final Merseyside derby of the season takes Liverpool and Everton to Wembley for a highly anticipated FA Cup Semi-Final.
With the two teams sitting side by side in the league, both managers will be hopeful that their team can overcome their rivals and book their place in the FA Cup Final.
David Moyes’ Everton have yet again come on strong in the second half of the season, losing just two of their last 17 matches. The Toffees come into this game full of confidence after winning four of their last five, conceding just two goals in that time.
However, form doesn’t always come into play in big derby games such as these, and that is what Liverpool fans will be hoping. Despite winning away at Blackburn in their last game, Liverpool’s form of late has been dreadful. They have won just three of their last ten games, albeit one of those was a convincing 3-0 victory against Everton.
With so little to choose between the two clubs, the smallest of details can hand one team the advantage. This Saturday Liverpool will have their third choice goalkeeper Brad Jones in between the sticks. He is inexperienced on the big stage and Everton will be looking to capitalise on any early nerves like he showed against Rovers.
Looking at form and Liverpool’s goalkeeping problem, an intelligent bet would be to back Everton at around 3.0 on BETDAQ.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Everton at around 3.00 on BETDAQ :5 points
Friday’s Return: -4 points
